  • Oman: Tuesday, March 26 - 2013 at 03:49

Oman's Freezone Sohar has said it expects to sign land-lease deals for around 80 hectares in 2013, as it continues to focus on downstream metal and mineral clusters, Muscat Daily has reported. "Earlier, we were focused on ferro-chrome clients, and now we are expanding to include ferro-alloy firms as well. We are in discussions with more ferro-alloy clients," said the CEO of Freezone Sohar, Neelima Vyas. "We are marketing more aggressively now and our target for 2013 is deals for about 80 hectares. However, much of our focus on foreign investment is dependent on global market conditions," added Neelima. By the end of last year, Freezone Sohar had signed land-lease agreements for a total of 150 hectares.
