GACA awards Gulf Air, Qatar Airways aviation licences

Gulf Air and Qatar Airways have become the first airlines to receive licences from Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) to operate both local and international flights in the kingdom, Reuters has reported. Until now, only the national carrier Saudi Airlines and budget airline National Air Services (NAS) have serviced a domestic market of around 27 million people.
