Oman's Galfar Engineering and Contracting has announced it is to receive an additional OR22.5m for Hasik and Shuwaimiyah road project, after the design of the project was altered to make the carriageway an all-weather road, Times of Oman has reported. The 94km long, two-lane carriageway in Dhofar region was originally awarded for around OR68.5m, which was estimated on the basis of an aerial survey, almost five years ago. Galfar has submitted its variation order one year ago, and the transport and communications ministry has reconciled the estimates last week.
