Gateprotect appoints Comguard as its authorised value added distributor for Middle East

Comguard, a Dubai-based leading value-added distributor for IT security products and solutions, a part of Spectrum group announced that it has been appointed as the value-added distributor by German IT security specialist Gateprotect for the Middle East region.
Gateprotect will be present during GITEX along with Comguard at Hall 2, Stand B2-32, Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai during GITEX Technology Week between 14th October to 18th October 2012, to showcase its version 9.2 of its next-generation firewall.
The already award-winning next generation UTM firewall solution is currently completing the prestigious, internationally recognized EAL4 + certification ("Evaluation Assurance Level 4+" (EAL 4 +) Common Criteria.
For government and enterprise network security administrators around the globe, EAL4+ stands as a key certification. Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) and the EAL 4+ Certification is an International Standard for information technology security certification determining the trustworthiness of security products.

As per the distribution agreement, Comguard is authorized to distribute Gateprotect's wide range of security products and solutions across the Middle East region including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait among others.
