  • PRESS RELEASE

Following continued interest from the hospitality industry to engage onsite support for event technology services, Gearhouse has witnessed a dramatic rise in the number of venues exploring the use of professional AV providers as a sustainable outsource option given the revenue and service benefits the right partner can provide.

In response, Gearhouse has undertaken an aggressive capital expansion program to increase its rental inventory and headcount. The increase in capacity is being driven by the large number of hotel properties due to open across the Middle East in the coming months.

To further reinforce the production and visual offering, Gearhouse have invested in Coolux's award winning media server, Pandoras Box. "Renowned for its ability to manipulate images in both 2D and 3D it can create stunning visual effects and the system is rapidly becoming the industry standard for multi-media events requiring visual manipulation" said Peter Jones, Gearhouse's Head of Video. The system compliments Gearhouse's extensive investment in large format projection systems adding a further dimension to the company's ability to deliver world class events.

Looking ahead to the next generation of digital audio, the decision to add capacity and extend the company's stock enables Gearhouse to continue delivering support for the client's increasing appetite for new cutting edge technology.

Programmable lighting fixtures backed up by the purchase of state of the art control desks give Gearhouse the ability to support a small cocktail reception through to an outdoor event for thousands and anything in-between. With well over 300 moving lights in stock Gearhouse has the ability to support multiple event requests, a total addition of one hundred Clay Paky Sharpy's and Martin Mac 301's has further increased capacity for any peaks in demand.

An investment in an advanced Kinesys System will enable wedding planners or event directors to include moving elements as part of their production. The system is the first choice for lighting designers and consultants around the world. When it comes to motion control, Kinesys offers precision positioning and speed control. The system will allow producers and meeting planners the freedom to move scenic, lighting and stage elements to within millimeters, opening the door to a whole new world of creative possibilities and effects to engage the audience.

The investment is not only limited to technology but at the heart of the company lives a team of dedicated professionals passionate about quality and service excellence. Gearhouse is focused on expanding its workforce of hospitality trained support engineers and is adding over 20 new recruits to its team that now tops 100 people based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
