GEC - Epoc Messe Frankfurt alliance to power The Home Show 2013

This year's edition of The Home Show is set to scale new heights, following a formidable alliance forged recently by Global Exhibitions & Conferences (GEC) with Epoc Messe Frankfurt, the region's subsidiary of world-renowned German exhibition organizer Messe Frankfurt.

The signing of a landmark cooperation agreement between GEC and the Dubai based exhibition organizer will add an international impetus to the show.

Its global presence, encompassing more than 150 countries across five continents, places Messe Frankfurt among the world's top four organizers of trade fairs and exhibitions. Not surprisingly, events powered by Messe Frankfurt typically generate spectacular results for exhibitors and participants.

C. J. Paul, CEO of GEC, commented: "We are delighted to have signed this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Epoc Messe Frankfurt on the joint organization of The Home Show 2013. With Epoc Messe Frankfurt's global reach and unrivalled expertise in the organizing of trade fairs, we are aiming to deliver a show, the likes of which Oman has never witnessed before."

Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH, stated: "As one of the world's leading players in the trade fair business, Epoc Messe Frankfurt will be looking forward to working with GEC in laying a superlative 2013 edition. Given Messe Frankfurt's longstanding and well-established capabilities in organising exhibitions, congresses and conferences, we are uniquely well-placed to assist GEC and its clients achieve their business goals."

The Home Show is Oman's premier trade fair spotlighting the home-building, ownership and home interiors industry. It is also the flagship event in GEC's rapidly expanding portfolio of trade shows. This year's edition of this hugely popular show will take place during December 9 - 11 at Oman International Exhibition Centre.

As with previous editions of The Home Show, the 2013 event will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing. Its robust appeal as the industry's foremost trade fair is also underscored by the continued support of leading corporate entities, such as MEDC, Oman Housing Bank and AHK German Industry and Commerce.

The resounding success of the first two editions has already earned The Home Show recognition from UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. Membership of this worldwide institution has elevated GEC into an exclusive club of world-class organizers of exhibitions, conferences and trade shows. More importantly, it has conferred upon GEC trade fairs the coveted label of 'UFI approved event', a stamp of authority that attests to their high quality and standards.

The Home Show 2013 will feature a comprehensive mix of products and services, notably furniture and furnishings, bedroom and bathroom sets, kitchen systems and appliances, doors and windows, home appliances and electronics, wall and floor coverings, lighting and fixtures, and a selection of smart home solutions.

Also showcasing their services will be an array of service-providers catering to all aspects of the homebuilding and homeownership space. They include property consultants, interior designers, home décor and improvement specialists, and financial institutions offering home loans, among others.
