Geojit BNP Paribas to expand broking, distribution business in GCC

Indian brokerage Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services has announced it would commence its broking and product distribution services in Oman and Kuwait by end of next month, the Economic Times has reported. The firm has formed joint ventures with Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) and JZ Associates in Kuwait and Qurum Business Group (QBG) and National Securities in Oman to launch their services. "We plan to start operation in Kuwait and Oman by October end. We'll offer broking, depository services and mutual funds to investors in those two countries," said Satish Menon, executive director of Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services.
