Germany's Jenoptik to supply Oman with road safety equipment

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has signed a contract worth more than OR5m with Germany's Jenoptik to equip more than 600 spots throughout the sultanate with traffic safety enforcement technology systems, Muscat Daily has reported. Under the terms of the deal, the traffic solutions division of Jenoptik is to install speed and traffic light monitoring systems, upgrade existing systems, supply and install software for an efficient 'incident processing centre' and support the commissioning process.
