GITEX Shopper Spring opens 3 - 6 April 2013
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, March 16 - 2013 at 12:10
- PRESS RELEASE
Savvy shoppers will be readying themselves for true spring fever next month when the first GITEX Shopper Spring 2013 launches at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
With an unrivalled range of products under one roof in all the fully sold-out Sheikh Saeed Halls, GITEX Shopper Spring will offer the best bargains on the latest electronic products and gadgets from the region's power retailers, including E-Max, E-City, Jacky's Electronics, Jumbo Electronic and Sharaf DG. With exhibition space of more than 1,000m² requested for each, visitors can expect more choice, more convenience and a great shopping experience.
"With a Shopper Spring edition, we are now able to meet the overwhelming buyers demand created at the original GITEX Shopper exhibition," said Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), organiser of both GITEX Shopper shows. "Judging by the immediate sell-out of the space allocated for the new Spring edition, this is a decision that has been equally welcomed by global brands and retailers in the region."
"We are delighted to extend the new twice-a-year shopping experience offered by GITEX Shopper to April and October. With the most important power retailers on board, all with big stands and more products, and the show open for 12 hours a day for the full four days, GITEX Shopper Spring is set to deliver an exceptional show," said Loh.
In addition to platinum sponsor Samsung, other brands and retailers represented at the show include One mobile, Blackberry, Dell, du, HP, Nokia, V. V and Sons and many more.
Firas Tayfour, Head of Retail, Samsung Gulf Electronics said: "GITEX Shopper continues to be one of the best and most successful platforms for Samsung to engage and interact with our customers. Not only will we showcase new and cutting edge technologies from Samsung that enrich people's lives, our customers can also expect exciting offers on the latest Samsung products at this year's event."
With the life cycles of tech products becoming shorter, consumers' buying habits have changed. According to Jacky's Electronics COO, Ashish Panjabi, customers want access to deals more often and when technology breakthroughs occur.
"A second edition of GITEX Shopper makes good business sense for us. The show has always represented an extra month on the calendar as far as sales go for Jacky's, and with the Spring show we expect to see yet another month of sales added onto our annual sales," said Panjabi. "We've been associated with the GITEX Shopper brand for over a decade now and have seen it emerge from under the shadow of GITEX Technology Week to become an independent event. We're proud to see the addition of the Spring edition of GITEX Shopper as this mirrors the growth that many of us in the industry have been seeing."
Visitors can expect an improved shopping experience from all exhibitors, with special deals on smartphones, tablets, hybrid convertible laptops, LED TVs, gaming consoles and DSLR cameras. With the timing of the show coinciding with school holidays, special family-focused features and activities make the show a great day out for all. Millions of dirhams worth in prizes are also up for grabs with promotions, raffles and giveaways, including a MINI Cooper 2013 to be won every day of the show.
Dubai World Trade Centre boasts its own dedicated Metro station just steps away from the door to the show, to offer ultra-convenient access.
GITEX Shopper Spring 2013 will take place from 3 - 6 April and will open from 11:00am - 11:00pm every day.
