Global Process Systems wins trio of awards with Sapura Kencana Petroleum

Global Process Systems (GPS), a member of UAE-based Al-Jaber Group, has secured the award of three process packages from Malaysian oil and gas leader Sapura Kencana Petroleum.

The three contracts, which are to be executed by GPS in Malaysia, are for the fuel gas conditioning package, the produced water treatment package and the deaerator column and vacuum pump skid destined for the Serendah Project, located offshore Sarawak in the South China Sea.

The Serendah Project is part of the Phase II Sarawak Gas Development Project - Blocks SK309 and SK311 - being developed by Murphy Sarawak Oil Co Ltd under its Production Sharing Contract with PETRONAS.

GPS Malaysia Director & General Manager Steven Chadwick said, "Our track record in the safe, on-time, within budget delivery of similar packages was a key contributing factor in the award of this substantial contract. We are absolutely delighted that Sapura Kencana has selected us to perform this work for major end user Murphy Oil."

GPS' scope of work includes for the complete supply of the three skid packages including all engineering design, mechanical completeness and electrical and instrumentation hook-up. GPS will also handle delivery to the Kencana site as well as on-site supervision of installation of the skid packages at the Sapura Kencana facility.

These latest contracts add to the work already secured by GPS Malaysia this year which includes fast-track delivery of a complete 30,000 BWPD seawater injection module for Malaysian client Petrofac that will be used on a Mobile Offshore Production Unit operating offshore east coast Peninsular Malaysia.

The module comprises coarse filters, fine filters, deaerator column, vacuum pumps, chemical injection, hypochlorinator and hazardous area control panel.

A further contract is also being executed a leading international FPSO operator for the supply of a vapour recovery compressor package that will be installed on an FPSO operating offshore Angola.
