First golfing steps taken on Abu Dhabi Corniche ahead of giant weekend

Youngsters have been taking their first steps in golf on Abu Dhabi's spectacular Corniche and enjoying a free HSBC putting challenge in the exciting build up to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, 17th - 20th January 2013.
The fun new putting challenge which features stunning local landmarks is open from 1pm daily on Abu Dhabi's Corniche is free to all. Beyond taking golf into the local community and giving families the chance to get to grips with golf, those able to complete the challenge win free entry passes to the tournament.
The interactive HSBC zone on Abu Dhabi Corniche gives a small glimpse of what's in store for the championship with anincredible range of family-friendly activities and fan-driven events running across the four-day tournament, which tees-off on Thursday January 17th at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
And it's not just golf or golfing giants you'll find at the championship, with special appearance and master-classes given in rugby and tennis by some all-time legends at the HSBC Interactive Village.
Located at the heart of the Championship Village, HSBC's Interactive Village will host sporting legends, including double Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship winner, Paul Casey, former British number one tennis player, Tim Henman, and two of the greatest rugby players of all time, Scotland's Gavin Hastings and Welshman, Jonathan Davies
No matter your age or your ability- from putting and chipping challenges to HSBC golf Simulators and HSBC Coaching Nets where people can receive 10-minute professional golf lessons- there is literally something for everyone. Children can also visit the HSBC Children's Creative Zone which will host arts and crafts.
