Google adds handwriting search feature for mobiles, tablets

Google has added a new feature to the mobile version of its search engine enabling users to use handwriting for web search on mobile phones and tablets. The new feature works only for handsets running Android 2.3 or later, tablets running Android 4.0 or later, and Apple devices running iOS 5 and up. The 'handwrite' feature works in addition to the onscreen keyboard, rather than as a replacement for it, and it can be switched on and off via the 'Settings' menu, located at the bottom of the homepage.
