Government Summit invites federal and local government entities to showcase their best customer service practices

The organizing committee for the Government Summit, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, from 11 -12 February 2013, has invited all the federal and local government entities to showcase their best practices in customer service and experience, ahead of the launch of the summit.

The organizing committee for the Summit which will be held under the theme 'Pioneering government services' has encouraged the federal and local government entities to contribute to the initiative to choose the best customer service experience based on customer satisfaction and service efficiency levels so that they can eventually be adapted in other government sectors.

The committee announced that the entities must submit their piece of work no later than January 20th 2013 via website thegovernmentsummit.ae which is designed to receive applications.

Applicants need to fill in the form introducing the participant entity along with the customer service experience and a three-minute video describing the service.

"Most of the federal and local government agencies possess some excellent customer service experience which is based on creativity and innovation and sustainable efficiency which could be role models that deserve to be highlighted in the summit that represents an ideal platform for experience and knowledge exchange. It is a great opportunity for these entities to present their best customer services practices to enrich the citizens' quality of life in line with UAE Vision 2021," said Her Excellency Ohood Al Roumi, Director General of The Prime Minister Office.

"This initiative reflects the unified national efforts aimed at providing a number of great customer service experiments which can be built on and expanded to include other government entities. Besides, these experiments provide us with a sense of pride, especially when presented before the summit participants from all over the world," Her Excellency added.

Urging the federal and local government entities to be part of the initiative's success, Her Excellency Ohood Al Roumi highlighted the importance of showcasing an experience that is based on actual results and achievements and is applicable to other entities.

Led by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the future of Government in the UAE, the Government Summit aims to be a platform for innovation, knowledge sharing, and strengthening of national efforts towards achieving the goals of UAE Vision 2021.

The Summit will host 2,000 delegates representing federal and local government entities across the UAE, and will witness participation from a range of national, regional and international government leaders and experts.

The Summit will also discuss a number of important topics and issues, and review recent trends in the development of government services across multiple sectors. It will also address some of the key issues related to the coordination of national efforts in the United Arab Emirates.

The summit's agenda will focus on embracing creativity and innovation as a method in the government sector. Several plenary sessions and workshops will be organized to highlight the UAE's experience in government practice.
