  • PRESS RELEASE

In light with the regional construction industry that is reasonably moving forward with forecasts mounting to over $98bn in various projects, the demand for pool and spa products and services will be explored during the fifth edition of the biennial event, ME POOL & SPA 2012.

Organizers of the Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition, further point out that though on slower rate compared to the real estate growth preceded the 2008 recession, the increasingly positive market conditions are being driven by significant investments mainly in hospitality, travel and tourism infrastructure in the region, which are expected to rise by 8.5% in 2012 and sustain an average growth of 4.8% per annum over the next 10 years to reach $65.8bn in 2022.

Organized by Reed Exhibitions in collaboration with the Society of Engineers in UAE, the Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition 2012 will run from September 24 to 26 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Coinciding with the event, the first Green Pools Conference is introduced to the region to highlight the new edition's theme on building green pools and sustainable pool maintenance. The conference will discuss sustainable pools and spa facilities that use advanced, environment-friendly techniques and solutions in water treatment, maintenance and cleaning in addition to highlight innovative technologies in this sector.

Furthermore, the exhibition will provide its regional and international visitors, an informative platform through the Project Village, to learn from Ventures Middle East, the construction intelligence partner of ME POOL & SPA 2012, about the present and future projects that will affect the demand for pools and water features in the region. This insight will highlight key projects across the landscaping, residential and commercial building sectors through face to face interactions with consultants from Ventures ME.

To highlight innovations, the UAE Pool Industry Best Practices Awards, on the other hand, remains as one of the major highlights of the exhibition. It is meant to elevate best practice in pool and spa engineering and technology seen by experts from Dubai Municipality and other academic representatives. Elite of regional and international players have been nominated to the Award, and winners will be announced on the 24th of September during the event

Tarek Ali, Exhibition Director, said: "The Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition continues to serves as an unrivalled specialized business platform for key stakeholders in the pool and spa industry in the region. Over the past few years, the exhibition was facilitated by major manufacturers from the world, to introduce technologies and products that are used today in key residential and commercial buildings as well as touristic landmarks in UAE and the GCC countries. Presently, sustainable green solutions are particularly gaining strong interest in light of green building regulations being introduced in various countries. The exhibition will therefore introduce and discuss innovations such as the Green Pool Concept, which is a new trend that arose in light of government efforts to reduce water and energy consumption."

The Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition 2012 will be attended by over 80 exhibitors from 13 countries along with more than 250 industry professionals from all over the world, including architects, consultants, engineers, traders, dealers, distributors and contractors. Several new technologies and products from the world's leading manufacturers have also been lined up to be launched this year.

Since the inaugural event in 2004, the Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition has been firmly established as the sole business hub for professionals and service providers in the pool industry. It provides unmatched opportunity for dealers and manufacturers to reach their most important customers from the GCC and the MENA region.
