GROHE and Hassan Abbas Sharbatly Foundation for Community Services extend partnership to reduce water consumption in 19 mosques across KSA

GROHE, the world's premium brand for sanitary fittings, announced the extension of its partnership with the KSA-based Sharbatly Foundation (HAS FOUND), as part of the regional implementation of its global water sustainability initiative; GROHE WaterCare, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia holds some of the highest per capita water consumption rates in the world and is the world's largest producer of desalinated water making up 17% of the total world output and at 250 litres, the Kingdom's water per capita consumption is 91% higher than the international average. GROHE's fittings will enable the mosques to make considerable water savings to the benefit of the mosques and the environment, whilst raising awareness about the importance of water conservation.
GROHE are the exclusive suppliers for all the Sharbatly Mosques in KSA using the Euroeco Cosmopolitan S Self-Closing pillar taps on all new construction and renovation of the Sharbatly Mosques. Renovation will start on 4 mosques for this year out of a total of 19 across the region.
Sayed Ibrahim Hassan Sharbatly, Vice President of the Board of Trustees at Hassan Abbas Sharbatly foundation for Community Service, stated that: "Working with GROHE on the Sharbatly Mosque in Jeddah proved highly successful, and consequently we have decided to further our relationship and install GROHE's solutions in all our mosques throughout the country as a way to raise awareness and reduce excess water consumption. As faithful people, we are obliged to care for Allah's blessing of providing us with water, and not take advantage of it. For that, we are glad to be part of GROHE's water-saving campaign and thank them for their continuous support."
Tarik Ghazale, GROHE, Project Channel Manager, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said: "We are delighted to have extended our partnership with the Sharbatly Foundation.
