Gulf Aviation Academy receives EASA approval on new Airbus A330 FFS

Bahrain based Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) announced receiving the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) FSTD Approval Certificate for its new CAE A330-200 Full Flight Simulator (FFS).
Eng. Mahmood AlBalooshi, Chief Executive Officer at GAA, said "GAA is very pleased to add the new A330 full flight simulator to our portfolio of state-of-the-art training facilities and will continue to make significant investments in the latest technology and training devices to fulfil our customers' aviation training needs in the region."
The new Simulator is EASA Level "D" certified and is now ready for conducting dry and wet A330 training to Airbus operators in the MENA and wider region. Technical training for the type for engineers and technicians is provided at the Academy as well.
In addition to the Airbus A330 FFS, GAA has recently taken delivery of a new CAE Simfinity Airbus Maintenance Flight Training Device (MFTD) 2D/3D Trainer, as well as an A320 and EMB190 Emergency Evacuation Trainers.
GAA, Bahrain's first aviation training academy, and one of the few internationally certified aviation training centers in the region, is a UK CAA TRTO and also has Bahrain CAA / KDGCA / QCAA / GACA training approvals and offers a wide range of high quality aviation training solutions for the aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa region, in addition to providing IATA training as GAA is an IATA Regional Training Partner.
The Academy has also been recognised recently as a Top ten Middle East International Air Transport Association (IATA) Authorised Training Center (ATC) for 2012, in recognition of GAA's outstanding contribution in developing human capital by reaching out to the next generation of leaders in the evolving air transport industry in the MENA region.
