Gulf Bike Week 2012 commences with three days of complete non-stop action

The event was inaugurated by H.E. Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Dubai Events Board, and attended by Ibrahim Saleh, Festivals Coordinator General at Dubai Events and promotions Establishment (DEPE), Christopher Hudson, Managing Director, MECOM Forums, a Clarions Events partner, in addition to local and international media.

Following the inauguration, H.E. Alabbar proceeded on a guided tour of Gulf Bike Week with brief introductions made with exhibitors and performers at the family festival.

"Gulf Bike Week 2012 has finally begun and we are excited with the level of support received by the public. We look forward to welcoming everyone and entertaining them in a way that only Bike Week can - with biking and off-roading entertainment that exhibits nothing less that sheer excellence," Hudson said.

Early motorcycle enthusiasts and visitors to Gulf Bike Week 2012 were impressed with the magnitude of this year's event in terms of the area and activities, following the relocation to the Al Badia Golf Club, in Dubai Festival City.

With fun filled activities for people and children of all ages, Gulf Bike Week 2012 will include: high-flying FMX Stunts; Guinness World Record super natural feats; the Middle East custom bike building championship; performances by rising local bands; electrifying street bike stunts; the highly competitive KTM Eliminator; Kids Quadzone; the returning thunder parade for charity; in-show bike park; and much more.

In addition to all the activities, the organisers of Gulf Bike Week believe that it is also their responsibility to give back to the community. The Thunder Parade on 19 October 2012 at Gulf Bike Week is an effort to raise funds to support the Dubai Autism Center. All the proceeds received from generous festival patrons will be donated to support the outstanding work of the team that works tirelessly at the Dubai Autism Center.
