Gulf Super Sixes Cricket Tournament returns to Dubai in December 2012

Returning for its third year of action and excitement, the Gulf Super Sixes corporate cricket league is warming up to thrill cricket lovers in Dubai. With 48 teams competing to play alongside eight international cricketing legends, this makes it one of the region's biggest corporate sports leagues.

Organised by Crayons Communications in association with Gulf Oil and Landmark Group, entry for the UAE's largest corporate cricket league is held under the auspices of the Dubai Sports Council and the Dubai Cricket Council.

The event will be heldfrom 30 November to 14 December 2012 - qualifiers and finals will take place at the ICC GCA grounds at Dubai Sports City, andat the spectacular Dubai International Stadium, respectively.

Mr. Arshad Zaheer, CEO, Crayons Communications, said: "Gulf Super Sixes is one of the very few sports tournaments in the region that generates an electrifying atmosphere by the fans. Of the 48 teams competing, the top eight teams will have an international cricketing legend mentor and compete with the players for an opportunity to win the coveted cup."

Last year, legends that participated in the Gulf Super Sixes included: Wasim Akram, Muthaya Murlidharan, Vinod Kambli, Nayan Mongia, Maninder Singh, Sanath Jayasuriya, Lance Klusener and Imran Nazir.

The Gulf Super Sixes has been a remarkable success for the past two years. Initially, international players had drawn in fans to come be a part of the electrifying atmosphere created at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, with the expertise being passed from legends to players, this league has become even more thrilling to watch.

Wasim Akram, Former Captain of the Pakistani International Team, said: "The Gulf Super Sixes corporate cricket league has an outstanding group of talented individuals with phenomenal cricket skills.
