GWC to further expand facilities to meet growing demand

Qatari logistics services firm Gulf Warehousing Co (GWC) is planning to set up a new greenfield logistics village (LVQ2) in another location in Qatar, Gulf Times has reported. GWC is also considering the Phase 4 expansion of its first project (LVQ) in view of the increasing demand. "As we near 100% utilisation of the LVQ in the next couple of years, we are already exploring the opportunity of setting up another such village in another part of Qatar," said GWC chairman, Mohamed Ismail al-Emadi. The LVQ project includes 250,000 sq m of warehouses, 100,000 sq m of truck parking and maintenance workshop, 65,000 sq m of container depot, 250,000 sq m of laydown area and auction yard and 39,400 sq m of residential and recreational facilities.
