HAAD develops ranking system
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, September 25 - 2012 at 09:04
The Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) has developed a system of ranking medical facilities in the emirate, based on criteria such as hygiene level, infection control and quality of care, Gulf News has reported. "The first edition of the rankings, which also identified certain gaps in health care, was published among hospitals earlier this year. While medical facilities now work to fix these areas of concern, the HAAD is studying whether or not these rankings will be beneficial if revealed to the public," said Dr Sedra Al Mansouri, acting director of health system compliance at the HAAD. The regulator, however, has not yet decided whether these rankings will be revealed to the public, and which aspects will be published.
