Saudi Arabia has awarded the UAE-based Habtoor Leighton Group a $74m contract to build a new cancer therapy centre in the kingdom. The contract involves the construction of the kingdom's first proton cancer therapy centre at the King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh in a 50-50 joint venture with Al Latifia Trading and Contracting. The deal is the second healthcare contract Habtoor Leighton has won in Saudi Arabia in a month. In September, it won a $316m deal, also with Al Latifia Trading and Contracting, to build new medical centres.
