Hamad bin Khalifa University's TII now accepting applications for postgraduate studies

Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, is now accepting online applications for its Translation and Interpreting Institute's (TII) Master's Degree in Translation Studies programme. Established with a mission to build translation capacity in Qatar and the region, TII will be offering this programme starting in September 2013.
TII is an international center of excellence for translator and interpreter training and its MA programme spearheads an ambitious strategy for postgraduate education in the region.
Combining academic rigor with the development of vocational skills, TII's MA programme is validated by leading international institutions, and provides graduates with a competitive edge in the freelance, corporate and institutional marketplaces as well as pathways into an academic career. TII students benefit from small classes taught by a distinguished international team of HBKU.
TII invites engaged, ambitious and diligent individuals seeking intellectual and professional development opportunities to submit their applications by April 15, 2013.
In their submission, applicants are required to include university transcripts, English proficiency test reports, proof of proficiency in an additional language, two references, a detailed résumé (CV), and a passport copy. Applicants are also required to complete a personal statement in which they have the opportunity to discuss their interest in the programme along with how their personal and professional experience and achievements have prepared them for successful postgraduate study.
Admission is highly competitive and all applicants are invited to present their application. There is a non-refundable application fee of QAR 250 (waived for applications received before March 15, 2013), and all applications must be received by April 15, 2013.
