Hamad Medical Corporation promotes healthy living through participation in National Sports Day

Hamad Medical Corporation staff will be participating in a variety of high profile events across Doha to mark the National Sports Day - 12 February - including hosting a major event at Katara Cultural Village as part of its Kulluna campaign.

HMC will hold a Family Fun and Sports Day from 8am to 4pm at the Katara Cultural Village, near Gate 21, as part of its Kulluna campaign to improve health and public safety in Qatar.

There will be plenty of fun activities for the entire family at the event, including:

- Basketball shoot-out
- Obstacle course
- Tug of war
- Relay races
- Hula hoop challenges
- Egg and spoon race
- Sack relay/race
- Skipping competition
- Space hopper races

There will also be prizes and other giveaways at the family day.

All activities at Katara are designed to highlight the importance of safety and health, which is the main purpose of the national five year Kulluna campaign.

Meanwhile at public events at the Corniche, Aspire Zone and Al Refaa Rd, HMC will deploy more than 40 nurses who will be dedicated to taking blood pressure checks, weight measurements, Body Mass Index measurements and other health tests for participants.

At the Corniche, HMC will partner with the Qatar Development Bank and our teams will be offering blood pressure and basic health checks as well as distributing information about healthy and active lifestyles.
