Hamdan International Photography Award makes impression at Gitex Technology Week 2012

The Hamdan International Photography Award has been making an impression at the Gitex Technology Week 2012. The award is in its second season of competition, and is set to have the largest grand prize in the world worth $120,000.
Also visiting the HIPA stand was His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Dubai culture and arts authority, as well as Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the deputy Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Maktoum was also given a preview of the new HIPA website which is currently accepting submissions for the second season of the award "Beauty of Light".
Also visiting the HIPA stand was His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al-Mualla, the crown prince of Umm Al Quwain, who signed the "Love of the Earth" book by HIPA, from the first season of the award.
Ali bin Thailth, the Secretary General of HIPA, introduced all the recent updates of HIPA to the honorary visitors of the stand and explained HIPA's unique position of accepting and judging this season's submissions on a solely digital basis.
Commenting on the participation at Gitex 2012, Sahar Al Zarei, the Assistant secretary general of HIPA, said, "This is our second participation at Gitex and we are looking forward to building on the success of out first participation last year. Our marketing campaign involves taking part in the biggest and most prominent trade shows globally and this has brought us back to Dubai and to Gitex. We are honoured to be participating here again."
Hosting some of the world's leading technology manufacturers, the Gitex Technology Week runs from the 14th until the 18th of October 2012 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The HIPA stand can be found at the "Sheikh Saeed Hall", stand S3-B11.
