Oil falls on Opec delay

The price of crude oil fell below $53 in New york after Opec delayed a decision on cutting output. Crude oil for January delivery fell by $1.47, or 2.7%, to $52.96 a barrel in after-hours electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, following the decision to defer until a meeting in Algeria on December 17.
