Hassan Behnam appointed as Head of Ubifrance office in Cairo

The French Agency for International Business Development (Ubifrance) attached to the French embassy in Egypt, has appointed Hassan Behnam as Head of its office in Cairo.
The new Head of Ubifrance Egypt will manage a team of 6 professionals dedicated to accompany the French SMEs interested in doing business with Egypt and participate in the execution of various projects, find agents and partners, invest in different fields, etc.
Ubifrance Cairo office is composed of five sectors:
Agrotech (Agrifood products and technologies) and MHS (Fashion, Housing, Health) managed by Yasmine Rizkallah, ITI (Infrastructures, Transport, Industries) and NTIS (New technologies, Innovations, Services) headed by Marc El Gohary, and a Press section, run by Albert Adib, that proposes tailor-made solutions to French firms in order to optimize their communication in business circles.
Following his appointment, Hassan Behnam underligned the close ties and relationship prevailing between Egypt and France in trade activities, pointing out the presence of over a hundred French companies in Egypt that employ around 40.000 personnes, stressing on the continuous interest shown by French enterprises to the Egyptian market in various fields.
He added that despite the current situation and prevailing question marks as to eventual risks, he and his team are determined to use all ways and means to promote the attractivity of the Egyptian market that represents around 85 million potential consumers.
He said, "Ubifrance Egypt will continue to encourage the French companies to deal with both the private and public sectors and reach sustainable partnerships in order to enhance the level and volume of bilateral trade between France and Egypt."
The main objective of Ubifrance Cairo office will consist in playing the role of an efficient partner in the export process, inform French SMEs on business opportunities and different projects, accompany them in their efforts to settle in Egypt, increase their visibility and the quality of their products, identify potential partners, introduce them to credible contacts and partners, give proper advice on doing business with Egypt, and inform them on the legal conditions to access the Egyptian market.
