Health innovation meets Dubai at Health 2.0 Middle East - Dubai

Medica IQ is bringing the most talked about health innovation conference to Dubai. Health 2.0 Middle East - January 27-28, 2013 at the landmark Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The Health 2.0 Middle East Conference will be the first of it's kind in the region showcasing the latest web and mobile based health technologies and tools for health care consumers, caregivers, patients, health professionals, and biomedical researchers.

The first Health 2.0 Conference was held in San Francisco in 2007, since then it has grown to reach 13 countries.

The Dubai conference will feature a mixed line-up of health innovators delivering live demonstrations of the latest health tools and apps, with payors, health practitioners, pharma companies, and regulators discussing at how these tools are changing the way healthcare is being delivered in the region.

Attendees will get up close and personal with distinguished health leaders and innovators such as Dr. Bernard Harris Jr., MD. Past President of the American Telemedicine Association and former NASA astronaut. Dr. Harris has an "out of this world" perspective on health delivery having performed the first telemedicine consult from space with the Mayo Clinic! Dr. Harris has logged over 438 hours and 7.2 million miles in space travel. He was also the first African American to walk in space.

This is just a small sample of other innovative thinkers participating in our program: Bill Davenhall, Global Health, ESRI. Bill is a TedMed speaker alumnus...Bill will be sharing a conversation on how, where you live impacts your health as much as diet and genes. Call it Geo-Medicine.

Hind Hobeika our almost local star, CEO and creator of Butterfleye. Hind is also a Ted Med Speaking Alumnus. Hind will be sharing her story and how she became a health innovator.

Sunny Vu - Co-Founder & CEO of Misfit Wearables and Co Founder of Agmatrix will be talking about wearable sensors and their role in health and wellness.
