Hilton to have 1,600 rooms in Qatar by 2017

Hilton Worldwide has said its four new hotels in Qatar will bring to 1,600 the total number of rooms it has in the Gulf country by 2016-2017, Gulf Times has reported. All the new Hilton hotels in Qatar will be located in the West Bay area, said the president of Hilton Worldwide for Middel East and Africa (MEA), Rudi Jagersbacher. "Qatar is going to be a key destination in the Middle East for Hilton," he said. With the expansion of Qatar Airways, it is going to be a very important market for Hilton as there will be a huge number of transit passengers. There is also a great potential for destination tourism in the country," said Jagersbacher.
