Hilton to open new hotel in Egypt

Saudi Egyptian Real Estate Development has signed an agreement with Hilton Worldwide to launch in early 2016 the 257-room Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi, the hotel operator's sixth property in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The 23-storey property will be located in the upscale residential and diplomatic district of Maadi will feature a health club and spa, an outdoor swimming pool, two restaurants, including speciality dining, a lobby lounge and an executive lounge, a business centre, a 400 sq m function room, two boardrooms and three meeting rooms. The planned property is the latest addition to the Hilton's development programme for Egypt and joins a property pipeline comprising the 635-room Hilton Heliopolis; the 660-room Hilton Makadi Resort; the 390-room Hilton Giza Pyramids and for Egypt's second city of Alexandria, the 158-room Hilton Alexandria Corniche and the 195-room Hilton King's Ranch Resort.
