Hilton Worldwide appoints new Vice President for Egypt and Levant

Hilton Worldwide Middle East and Africa announced the appointment of Christian Muhr as Vice President of Operations for Hilton Worldwide, Egypt and Levant.
Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa, said, "This is a key appointment for the company and I am delighted that someone of Christian's calibre and proven talent will be at the helm of such an important, and growing, region for us. Hilton Worldwide enjoys a proud reputation in Egypt and Levant and Christian's experience will be vital as we continue to set industry standards in quality, service and in developing new opportunities."
Muhr's Hilton Worldwide career has taken him across the world from his native Austria to USA, UK, Germany and Egypt, where he worked at the company's first hotel in Cairo, the Nile Hilton, from 1995 as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Muhr's most recent role was as Cluster General Manager for three key Dubai company properties, Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort, Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Residence and Hilton Dubai Creek.
Muhr commented, "Hilton Worldwide is the longest serving and biggest international hospitality company in Egypt and I am honoured and privileged to be handed the task of building on this tremendous legacy and history. We have a number of new hotel openings planned for the region in the next three years and I look forward to enhancing our position in the market, supporting the Egyptian tourist industry with international marketing campaigns and high-profile tourist events and being a meaningful community partner."
