Hilton Worldwide's Middle East & Africa Dubai area office kicked off its biggest social responsibility initiative this week with a variety of events in celebration of the company's inaugural Global Week of Service.
At Al Noor, Hilton Worldwide's senior team, led by president Rudi Jagersbacher, spent time to volunteer and work with the Centre's children across a range of classroom initiatives and projects including the Centre's vocational units . Separately at Garhoud Charity School, company staff armed with paint brushes, tools, cleaning materials and bags of enthusiasm took part in a two-day renovation and repair project to support the maintenance and upkeep of the school building and its classrooms. Also at Garhoud Charity School later this week, key members of Hilton Worldwide staff will partner with the school's senior pupils in a series of career counselling sessions designed to provide a wealth of advice and guidance for those youngsters looking to join the workforce.
Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa said: "I am delighted the first Global Week of Service event in Dubai has been a great success with locally-based team members responding to the initiative with both passion and commitment. It is an ideal opportunity for us to build long term, sustainable partnerships with well-respected organisations and to extend our spirit of hospitality and citizenship beyond our offices and hotels and to the wider community in which we work and serve."
