Homestyle Dining celebrates grand opening of Ponderosa Steakhouse in Amman

Special guests in attendance for the event were Dr. Abdelraouf al Rawabdeh, former Prime Minister of Jordan and the current Deputy Head of the Jordanian Senate, Ms. Stephanie Williams, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Amman, Mr. Husni al-Ayesh, former member of the Jordanian Senate, former advisor to HRH Prince Hassan and current columnist at Alrai Newspaper, and Mr. Thomas Sacco, President and CEO of Homestyle Dining LLC.

"With the success we have had in neighboring Gulf countries, we are very excited about the opening of our first Jordanian location and the opportunity to bring our concept to the families of Amman," stated Mr. Sacco.

Dr. Omar Adbel Baqi, the Ponderosa franchisee for Jordan, has had a rich business career in Agriculture and Irrigation and served as an advisor to Sheikh Tahnoon, the then representative of the ruler of Abu Dhabi in Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

"Ponderosa is well known in this region with a menu that appeals to a broad range of guests," stated Dr. Abdel-Baqi. "Jordan needs a place where families can enjoy a great steak," he added.

The new Ponderosa Steakhouse in Amman, Jordan reflects a "new-West" decor, offers indoor and outdoor "terrace" seating, children's play area, and a meeting/party area. It is located on Wahib Al-Afyouni Street between 7th and 8th circle near Zahran Road just west of the Royal Jordanian Airlines office. Dr. Abdel-Baqi plans to open a second Ponderosa Steakhouse in Jordan.

There are over 200 Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses currently operating in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Taiwan, and, opening late 2013, Egypt.
