HP appoints Ernest Sales as Vice President and Managing Director for Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa 'MEMA'

In this role, Sales will be responsible for driving revenue and market growth by leading with the entire HP portfolio and in particular HP Converged Infrastructure solutions which are designed to make the data center simpler, more flexible, more efficient and less expensive to operate.

Sales is also the chair for MEMA's leadership team, which brings together the full range of HP's solutions for both the enterprise and consumer audiences.

Sales has been with HP for 25 years and was previously the EMEA Sales Vice President and General Manager, where he was responsible for the top 500 EMEA based HP Corporate and Enterprise Accounts and Alliances.

Sales has also held senior management positions in HP Software, HP Services and HP's printing organization, achieving a strong track record in driving double digit growth and improving sales force productivity.

Sales holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Barcelona as well as an Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa de Madrid.
