The ICT Fund participates at Tawdheef Recruitment Fair

The ICT Fund, an initiative by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), will participate in the Tawdheef recruitment exhibition from 29-31 January 2013 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
"The Betha program aims to provide scholarships supporting the education of motivated and capable individuals keen to contribute to the UAE's ICT sector," said H. E. Dr. Abdul Qader Al Khayat, Chairman of the Board of Trustees - ICT fund. "At the ICT Fund, our goal is to recruit 1000 students to help underpin technology and ICT development towards UAE vision 2021. There is no question, talent is our strongest resource."
Tawdheef provides a key opportunity for qualified Emiratis and other experienced professionals to meet companies from a variety of industry sectors including government, banking, oil & gas, aviation and many others.
The Betha program supports students across a range of B.Sc. and M.Sc. subjects including computer engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. To date, The ICT Fund has invested more than Dhs300m in the Betha scholarship program. Betha has enabled 230 Emirati students (bachelors and masters) to study in the UAE, USA, UK, Australia and Japan. The ICT Fund has placed 100 students through the Scholarship Coordination Office (SCO) in international universities in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Australia.
The ICT Fund works with many universities and institutions to offer these scholarships including the American University of Sharjah, Khalifa University of Science & Technology and Research, University of Sharjah, American University in Dubai, Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai, American University of Ras Al Khaima and Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.
The Betha program team will be at the Tawdeef fair as part of the TRA stand (5C20) to present and discuss the program.
