IKCO to increase production to 2500 a day

IKCO daily production would run up to 2500 units by February.
The Vice-president stated that the quality of products of Iranian part producers is at European standards level and managing to be self-relied, IKCO has lessened dependence on foreign exchange significantly.
Najari pointed to the company's strategy toward self-sufficiency and reiterated that to achieve this goal, IKCO has decided to obtain its needed metal sheets from domestic sources like Esfahan's Mobarakeh Steel Company.
IKCO Vice-president believes that in a near future, more than 80% of Iranian carmakers' needs to different metal sheets would be satisfied by domestic sources.
He also referred to IKCO new products like automatic Tondar 90, Dena, Tondar and PU1 Pickups and also new versions of Peugeot Pars and Peugeot 405 and said, "The goal of this diversification is to satisfy domestic and international markets."
Najari finally announced that IKCO aims to increase the production of fuel-efficient engines like TU5 and EF7 and said that in addition to an improved fuel economy, these engines meet Euro IV emission standard requirements.
