IKCO's production and export plan for 2025

IKCO intends to boost up its production by increasing the production capacity of its production plants in different provinces.

Mir Javad Soleimani, IKCO Vice-president in quality and product development, said, "IKCO is increasing its production in line with 2025 perspective document for auto industry to keep 50% of domestic production and market."

Soleimani said, "In order to achieve its production objectives, IKCO will have more than eight production plants all around the country."

Underlining the importance of decentralization of production, the Vice-president, said, "Increasing the production in Khorasan and Tabriz provinces plants as well as launching production plants in Mazandaran and Fars provinces in last three years have taken place under provincial and regional development, social justice and job creation policies."

He also said, "IKCO is currently working on Semnan and Azarbaijan Provinces production plants that would start working by early 2014."

Provincial and regional production plants development, allocating 65% of IKCO products to these sits, increasing the quality of products, exporting one third of the sites' products, creation of 14 thousand direct and indirect job opportunities are parts of IKCO plans in 2025 perspective document for auto industry.

Being the first car manufacturer in the region, fifth in Asia and eleventh in the world are the other objectives of IKCO that would take place by competitiveness.

Cutting down logistics and delivery costs, localization of parts, finding new suppliers and absorbing local support and investment are some of IKCO approach to get to these goals.

Soleimani finally referred to self-sufficiency in production of sensitive electronic parts of Peugeot 206, self-reliance in production of 206 family parts and components, increasing the localization of steel sheet, maximum use of domestic galvanized sheet, increasing the localization of polymer raw materials, and localization of body dies and casts and plastic dies as other IKCO plans toward self-sufficiency.
