IKID to export €4m worth of industrial dies

Iran Khodro Industrial Dies Co. (IKID) aims to produce EUR4m worth of car body dies for big European car manufacturing companies this year.
Alavi said, "A large number of IKID contracts have been inked with Coşkunöz company from Turkey. Coşkunöz has close engineering and technical ties with some of European car manufacturing companies like Ford and Renault."
IKID CEO reiterated that this trend would lead to a broader technical cooperation with global carmakers in upcoming years.
According to Alavi, design and development of Runna dies reserved EUR10m for the company. IKID intends to produce Dena body dies that will bring about seven million Euros of currency reservation.
Prior to this, most of the body dies needed for IKCO new cars used to be imported from other countries imposing extra costs on the company. But today IKCO is capable to design and develop such dies.
Design and development of dies for Runna bumpers, Samand dashboard, as well as dies for PU1 body and bumpers are other ongoing projects running in IKID.
The company is also going to design and develop hatchback Runna dies this year.
IKID is closely cooperating with two other IKCO subsidiaries, SAPCO and Mehrcampars, on design and development of dies for different plastic parts of cars.
