ImperialJet appoints new CEO

ImperialJet Middle East, the rising star of charter and aircraft management companies, has appointed a new CEO for ImperialJet Lebanon, Major General Pilot Michel Menassah.

In a ceremony held at the company's headquarters in Beirut, attended by senior members of the press as well as board members and senior directors at Imperial Jet, Major General Pilot Menassah introduced his vision and plan for one of the region's top performers in business jet operations.

Menassah's career started in 1975 as a military pilot and he subsequently became a commander in the Lebanese Airforce, which provides him with a wealth of experience in aviation. ImperialJet Lebanon will benefit from the Major General's leadership to guide the company towards increased growth and profit.

"We are glad to have someone of the Major General's calibre and experience to lead ImperialJet Lebanon", stated board member Me. Mohammad Alem; he added "Menassah's strong expertise and leadership in aviation will definitely contribute to the successful implementation of ImperialJet's plans to become a leader in business aviation."

Major General Pilot Menassah delivered a speech in which he declared that: "ImperialJet is a company with the potential to be a key success story in business aviation in the Middle East, Europe and North Africa. The base in Lebanon will provide us with a ready pool of talent that will drive the company's growth and the achievement of our goals." Menassah added "business aviation will see a large growth in the MENA region over the next ten years and ImperialJet is ready to take a large slice of that growing business."

ImperialJet Lebanon has offices in Munich and Moscow and covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, it is one of the few companies that posted a profit in 2011 and has expansion plans that will position it as the leader in business jet aviation in the near future.

ImperialJet was established in 1983, the company recently invested heavily in aircraft and staff, building new teams in Munich, the Middle East and Russia. ImperialJet offers aircraft charter, operation and shared ownership programmes on its aircraft, providing customers with innovative and cost efficient solutions to their flying requirements. Recent orders with a value in excess of $160m have been made including five LearJet 85s and three Challenger 605s, the first of which are now in service.
