The US Department of Commerce (DoC) has determined that producers and exporters from Oman have sold circular welded pipe in the US at a dumping margin of 5.81% and that they have also received countervailable subsidies of 4.13%, Times of Oman has reported. In its final decision, DoC determined Al Jazeera Steel anti-dumping margin to be 5.89%. Al Jazeera Steel is expected to file its appeal against this decision at the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the final determination is expected by November 29. The DoC said that in 2011, imports of circular welded pipe from Oman were valued at an estimated $28.1m, with lion's share contributed by Al Jazeera Steel.
