The Commercial Bank International (CBI) Open Day for the recruitment of UAE nationals, held on 22nd and 23rd October, witnessed huge interest by young Nationals.
Mr Essa Al Mulla, the Executive Director of Knowledge and Human Development Authority, attended the Open Day in support of CBI's development and empowerment of Emiratis in the banking sector.
Reflecting its commitment to Emiratisation and as part of the National Development Programme, CBI organized an interview process for UAE candidates with senior management led by the CEO, Kris Babicci along with Human Resources and line managers. The idea behind the Open Day, "Walk in with a dream, Walk out with a Career," resulted in many Emiratis receiving their offer letters on the day of the interviews.
Inspired by CBI's structured career growth plan and expanding network, a strong turnout was observed, as more than 200 Nationals gathered in the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City with a dream of pursuing a successful and rewarding career with the rapidly growing Bank. Interviewees ranged from fresh graduates to highly qualified and experienced individuals from within the banking sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Essa Al Mulla acknowledged CBI's Emiritisation efforts in saying: "This is an ideal way to attract UAE Nationals who are keen to enter the banking sector. CBI's interviews were well organized and it was a pleasure to see senior management there on the day. We need more organizations to come forward and offer structured training and career development in the UAE workforce". He also met with the new recruits to personally congratulate them.
Kris Babicci, Chief Executive Officer at CBI said: "The objective of the CBI Open Day was to attract talented UAE Nationals looking for challenging and stimulating careers in banking and I believe we found many high achieving Emiratis, who will personally and professionally grow with CBI." He also thanked Essa Al Mulla for the support the Bank received from KHDA.
The Bank recently posted record growth levels, reporting in the first 9 months of 2012 a 261% increase on net profit compared to the corresponding period in 2011.
