India's Associated Group plans $10m calcined lime plant in Oman

India-based Associated Group has announced plans to set up a $10m calcined lime project in Oman's Salalah Free Zone, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The Mumbai-based group, which has interests in downstream metals processing, aluminium fabrication, mining, logistics and renewables, has established a subsidiary in the sultanate, Associated Industries Limited SFZ, to develop the project on a 40,000 sq m plot within the free zone. The proposed plant capacity is set at 132,000 tonnes per annum of calcined lime; a product with extensive application in steel manufacturing, chemical, construction and environment industries.
