Industries Qatar posts QR8.4bn in net income

Industries Qatar (IQ) has announced its full-year net profit for 2012 has reached QR8.4bn, the Peninsula has reported. The group, which has interests in the production, distribution and sale of a wide range of petrochemical, fertiliser and steel products, recorded revenues of QR18.7bn for the year ended December 31, 2012, representing an increase over the same period of 2011 of 13%. The increase was be attributed to volume-driven growth across all segments, said IQ.
