Insignia expands hospitality portfolio with Kempinski Kenya win

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, October 30 - 2012 at 09:56
  • PRESS RELEASE

Insignia - a Dubai-based independent creative agency specialising in brand marketing within the hospitality industry - has been awarded the marketing and creative development of the new Kempinski Villa Rosa, Nairobi.

The recent addition to Insignia's hotel portfolio will see the agency responsible for all pre-opening brand development and marketing initiatives. As an initial task it will create the strategic positioning for the brand within Kenya, leading to the development of all operational and marketing collateral, developing the identities for all F&B outlets, as well as way-finding and signage development.

Elsewhere in Kenya, the agency is working on the property's sister hotel Kempinski Olare Mara in the Masai Mara; the two locations are scheduled to open early in 2013.

The win is a direct result of Insignia's long-standing relationship with the Kempinski Hotels brand, both within the UAE and internationally, which began in 2011 for the launch of its property in the Seychelles. Insignia has also worked on Kempinski properties in Bahrain, as well as the Kempinski MOE in Dubai.

Gaurav Sinha, Founder and MD at Insignia added, "We are very pleased to be working with Kempinski on the two new projects in Kenya. Our aim is to succeed in marrying European sensibilities with African tradition, a complex challenge but one which I am proud to say the agency has risen to with some exceptional design work."

Insignia currently manages the brand marketing needs of over 42 hotels across 18 countries and its client portfolio includes prestigious brands such as Dubai Tourism, Jumeirah Group, Emaar Hospitality, Kempinski Hotels, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Hilton International and Anantara Hotels & Resorts. Insignia also owns and operates Insignia Travel Media Group, a media planning and buying service delivering strategies specifically for travel and tourism brands.
