Instagram says monthly active users now exceed 100m

Photo social network owned by Facebook, Instagram has said it now reaches 100 million people each month, Cnet has reported. The announcement comes just one month after the service announced for the first time that it had 90 million monthly active users. The website counts 40 million photos per day, 8,500 likes per second, and 1,000 comments per second. "Now, more than ever, people are capturing the world in real-time using Instagram, sharing images from the farthest corners of the globe," Kevin Systrom, co-founder of Instagram, wrote in a blog post.
