Iran's state-run news network Press TV has been taken off air in North America, Aljazeera English has reported. Intelsat's Galaxy 19 satellite platform removed the two Iranian channels Press TV and iFilm, preventing their being broadcast in the US and Canada. The English-language television station said the move was part of Western sanctions imposed on Islamic Republic over its suspected ambitions to develop nuclear weapons.
