Intigral announces appointment of Dr. Ismaeel Makdisi as Acting CEO

Intigral, the Middle East's leading digital media solutions provider, announced the appointment of Dr. Ismaeel Makdisi as the company's Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dr. Makdisi replaces Karim Daoud, who served as the company's CEO for three years.
"Over the past three years, under Karim Daoud's leadership, Intigral has grown from strength to strength. It is now at an important juncture, marked by a revitalized growth strategy, even as it is posed for success from both, a regional and a global perspective," said Dr. Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al Ghoneim, Chairman of Intigral's Board of Directors.
"Our decision to appoint Ismaeel (Makdisi) to head Intigral at such a critical time is a reflection of our commitment to the company's continued success and we wish him all the very best," he added.
Dr. Makdisi previously served as Intigral's General Counsel and as Vice President of Corporate Affairs, in addition to heading its Mobile Advertising division. With over 21 years of experience in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, he brings with him a wealth of diversified knowledge of the media and telecommunications industries.

Karim Daoud's leadership and unwavering commitment has placed Intigral at the forefront of our industry and I am confident that we will continue to deliver on our promises and build on our success," Dr. Makdisi said.

Established in 2009, Intigral offers a one-stop shop for the region's telecom operators, Intigral provides services including content creation, repurposing, censoring and publishing for local audiences; management of video-on-demand (VOD) services provided by telecommunications operators; and the development and management of web portals. The company also offers digital storefront and applications development and management expertise.
Intigral is a joint venture between Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) and the Malaysian media conglomerate, All Asia Networks (ASTRO) with a current workforce of 240 professionals based in its Dubai and Riyadh offices.
