BIG InvestConsult freezes underwater hotel project in Oman
- Oman: Thursday, March 14 - 2013 at 05:27
Switzerland-based BIG InvestConsult, which represents the Water Discus concept of underwater leisure projects developed by Poland's Deep Ocean Technologies (DOT), has decided to put on hold its first underwater hotel project in Oman, Times of Oman has reported. The move was taken because the company needed to adjust its commercial-activity projections in line with the Water Discus producer's plans, Bogdan Gutkowski, president and CEO of BIG InvestConsult, told the daily. BIG InvestConsult was very keen to set up the first underwater hotel in Oman, but they couldn't find any co-investors who were willing to put money into the project, the report said. "That may be one of the reasons for pulling themselves out," a senior manager in the hospitality industry in Oman was quoted as saying.
