Investors and Entrepreneurs Engage at 1st Invest in ICT' Event during MENA ICT Forum 2013

Over 30 investors and 30 ICT companies from both Jordan and the MENA region met on 6th March, 2013, at the first 'Invest in ICT' event, an exclusive investment matchmaking platform co-organized by Endeavor Jordan and the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j).

The event was hosted at the MENA ICT Forum 2013, entitled 'Arab ICT Spring: Realizing Potential' and held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea, Jordan.

Serving as a regional investment engine, 'Invest in ICT' provided participating startups, emerging businesses and mature enterprises seeking investment with critical exposure and networking opportunities with private investors and investment houses from Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, Lebanon and Turkey. Primarily focused on one-on-one sessions between entrepreneurs and potential investors, the event also included a keynote speech by Fadi Ghandour, Founder and Chairman of Aramex, as well as a roundtable discussion on critical topics related to the investment ecosystem in the region.

"Endeavor has long been a leader in organizing international investor events to support high-impact entrepreneurs, and it brings us great pleasure to do the same here in Jordan - an aspiring ICT hub with great promise. The first of several planned annual events, 'Invest in ICT' 2013 has garnered strong interest among local and regional players, and we look forward to wider participation in future sessions," said Rasha Manna, Managing Director of Endeavor Jordan.

Manna went on to thank int@j for its support in hosting the event, describing it as an "invaluable partner" in creating a robust ICT sector.
