Commenting on investment opportunities in the Bahrain market, Mr. Mahmood Al Kooheji, Chief Executive Officer of Mumtalakat, said, "We believe that Bahrain has great potential for investment in a number of sectors. At Mumtalakat, our focus is on key growth industries including the real estate, service and aluminium sectors, which have the long term benefits that support our commitment to growing the wealth of Bahrain."
"The strength of our regulatory framework in these sectors, and the projects already in the pipeline for the coming year, place these industries amongst those offering the biggest returns. Add this potential to that the fact that we have a young, eager population that is well-trained, educated, available, and willing to do any type of work, and you have a recipe for success. From a business perspective, this approach to investment acts as a very strong market enabler, and it is a key decision criterion for multi-national companies looking to expand and grow in the region. Our people are our biggest asset, and we believe that providing the right opportunities for sustainable economic growth in Bahrain is essential to realising the vast potential there is here in the Kingdom," he said.
"We are proud to sponsor the 2013 Investors Conference, as it is an excellent platform for us to look at these opportunities in more depth, and discuss with the investor community, industry leaders and key decision makers the best way to explore and capitalise on them going forward," concluded Mr. Al Kooheji.
In addition Chavan Bhogita, Head of Markets Strategy at National Bank of Abu Dhabi, the panels will also feature Saad Benani, Investment Banking Managing Director at Credit Suisse and Christian Kern, Head of MENA Equity Research at J.P. Morgan.
