Iran to open 40 new ports next month

The head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organisation, Ataollah Sadr has said around 40 new ports are set to be inaugurated across the country by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20), Mehr news has reported. In December 2012, Sadr said that Iran plans to increase capacities of its commercial ports by 100% by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2013).
